The Back Cove 37 was launched in 2009 and enjoyed more than eleven years of uninterrupted production, resulting in over 200 hulls. When the production molds for the Back Cove 37 reached the end of their life in 2020 due to boatbuilding wear and tear, the Back Cove design team seized the opportunity to reexamine the model, incorporating over a decade of owner feedback and the latest design advancements. The result is a boat full of fresh details that earned its own designation, the newly redesigned Back Cove 372.

The Back Cove 372 features thoughtful updates tailored to today’s cruising and boating lifestyles, while retaining the classic character and spirit of a proven favorite. A more efficient 24V DC electrical system reduces copper weight, resulting in a lighter boat and increased run time on the bow and optional stern thrusters. Power comes from a Cummins QSC 8.3 600hp diesel engine with a 7 inch display as standard, or an optional Volvo Penta D8 diesel with a 7 inch Garmin display. This adjustment reflects owner preference, as more than 95 percent of Back Cove 37 owners have historically opted for a larger than standard engine.

At the helm, a black windshield liner and upholstered helm pod help reduce glare, while updated materials provide improved durability and stain resistance. The redesigned helm pod also allows increased space for navigation electronics. Fixed glazed pilothouse windows replace the previous sliding windows, offering enhanced sightlines, and are complemented by a center opening windshield with improved opening mechanisms for smoother operation.

In the cockpit, a new aft facing seat to starboard features a folding armrest and drink holder, paired with a new salon door to port and a bi fold window to starboard above the aft facing seat. Below deck, the head has been reconfigured with an expanded medicine cabinet, a large over sink mirror, and a redesigned shower stall, further enhancing comfort and functionality on board.
