The Back Cove Story
Back Cove Yachts was established in 2003 as the sister company to Sabre Yachts, created in response to growing demand for a smaller, efficient cruiser that reflected the classic style of traditional Maine lobster boats. That vision became reality with the launch of the Back Cove 29, marking the beginning of a new standard in practical and elegant coastal cruising.
Today, Back Cove Yachts is one of Maine’s largest recreational boatbuilders, producing a refined range of motor yachts from 34 to 41 feet in length. Each model is built using advanced vacuum infusion techniques and modern production line methods that ensure strength, consistency, and performance. With over 750 yachts launched to date, Back Coves are found on waters around the world, from the harbors of New England to the coastlines of Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific.
Every yacht is built in a state-of-the-art 240,000 square foot facility in Rockland, Maine, by a team of more than 200 skilled craftspeople.
