Vessel Details
Fielding Marine is proud to present ‘Amanda Louise II’, a 2008 Back Cove 33 built by Back Cove Yachts in Maine, USA. The Back Cove 33 is widely regarded as one of the most successful express cruisers in this size range, combining classic Downeast styling with practical systems and a layout that works exceptionally well for Australian coastal boating.
‘Amanda Louise II’ features a solid GRP hull with pronounced spray rails and a well-proven vee-hull form, providing a dry, comfortable ride and predictable handling in a range of conditions. She is powered by a single 435hp Volvo Penta diesel engine with electronic controls, offering an economical cruise speed of 20 knots and a top speed of approximately 28 knots. SidePower bow and stern thrusters and excellent visibility from the helm make manoeuvring in marinas and tight waterways straightforward.
The helm deck is open and functional, with large opening windows and overhead hatches providing excellent ventilation and natural light. To port is a raised dinette with seating for four, ideal for dining or relaxing underway. The starboard galley is well laid out and equipped with twin Waeco refrigerators, a two-burner electric cooktop, microwave and good storage, making the space practical for weekends away or longer coastal trips.
Below deck, the interior is finished in cherry timber and offers excellent headroom for a vessel of this size. Accommodation is flexible, with a forward V-berth that converts between twin singles and a double, complemented by a settee that can be used as additional sleeping if required. The enclosed head includes an electric marine toilet, and a separate shower stall, an uncommon feature in this size category.
The cockpit is practical and well laid out, with a fixed aft bench seat providing comfortable seating while underway or at rest, and easy access to the swim platform. Transom-mounted davits are neatly positioned to allow the tender to be carried securely without restricting access around the platform or compromising boarding.
‘Amanda Louise II’ is exceptionally well specified, with a watermaker, air conditioning, Kohler generator, Raymarine navigation electronics and quality ground tackle, placing her among the highest specified Back Cove 33’s currently available in Australia.
